A migraine is a neurological condition that causes severe head pain. There are eight different types of migraines that people can experience and can range from daily to every couple in months in terms of frequency. While some migraines are more stubborn than others massage can help to reduce the severity and frequency with a frequent regimen.

Sciatica pain is often the result of the sciatic nerve being injured or irritated. This can cause a few different problems with the most common being a shooting pain from the glutes down the leg. We massage and stretch the muscles in both the legs and hips to help alleviate any pressure on the nerve. In most cases with frequent visits and at home stretching we are able to free our clients from this condition.

Upper & Lower Back Pain

Carpal Tunnel syndrome is an increase in pressure within the carpal tunnel. This is a small passage within the wrist through which the median nerve and tendons for the hand run through. Symptoms include numbness in the thumb, index, and middle finger, in addition to tightening and pain within the forearm. While massage alone cant cure this condition we can help to alleviate tightness in the forearm and hands helping to reduce inflammation and swelling.

Upper and lower back pain are common and most of us will experience this at some point in our lives. Triggers can range from sleeping wrong to the posture we maintain while working and everything in between. Luckily we are able to provide relief through a number of massage therapy techniques along with at home stretches to keep clients pain free between visits.

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is a condition that occurs when the nerves and blood vessels between the neck and shoulders are compressed. The causes are numerous and at times unknown. People with this condition often experience neck and arm pain, tingling in the arm and hands, a weakening grip, and arm fatigue during activates. Frequent massage and at home care may alleviate symptoms depending on the underlying cause. We are most successful when poor posture is present.

Reduced Range of Motion

As we age or encounter injury our bodies begin to lose range of motion. This is often due to the development of inelasticity of our muscles in the absence of proper self care. Massage therapy helps to restore elasticity while also helping to reduce any inflammation. This allows the muscle to become more flexible and helps to reduce injury. Any of our massage therapy services are capable of achieving this outcome.

Stress is something we are all familiar with. Left untreated it can lead to tension headaches, sore muscles, insomnia, fatigue, just to name a few. Massages with long flowing strokes allow muscles to calm relieving  tension and allows the client to shed stress. With frequent massage sessions and proper at home care we are able to help our clients keep stress at a healthy and manageable level.
