Our therapist will arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment and begin to set up. It's important to create enough space for the therapist to walk through the chosen location (home, work, motel, etc.) without knocking over items on their way to the room you want them to set up in. Please make sure your home prior to your session to avoid the set-up process from consuming your session time.
During this time, it's important you review the client intake form and make sure it's filled out to the best of your knowledge so that your therapist can create a session that addresses your needs while avoiding the creation of problems during or after your session.
Your therapist will take 5-10 minutes to get to know you by reviewing your intake form and asking additional questions. While you can ask questions or adjust the approach to your session at any time now is a great time ask questions or address concerns.
At this time your therapist will exit the room or stand around a corner allowing you to disrobe to your comfort level. Before calling for your therapist to return you must be laying on the massage table with the sheet covering your body.
Your comfort level - While removing all articles of clothing will allow your therapist to work from one area to another smoothly it is not necessary. Our therapist will adjust to provide you the best session possible, while keeping you within your comfort level.
During this time your therapist will start to address the issues highlighted during the getting to know you phase. Your session is all about you, so don't hesitate to ask your therapist to adjust their approach whether it's related to pressure or focusing on a specific area to address your needs.
You're welcome to converse with your therapist as much or as little as you would like, this is completely up to you.
Relax during your session, stress from world outside of your session can wait. Focus on breathing, clearing your mind, and avoid tightening or contracting your muscles. If pressure or your therapist's approach to your massage prevent you from relaxing be sure to provide feedback so adjustments can be made, don't wait until after your session is complete.
When your session is complete, your therapist will step out of the room or around a corner while you dress. When finished your therapist will being to pack up their equipment. During this time feel free to grab a glass or water as hydration is very important after any massage session.
